September slipped away.

We had a another awesome weekend in September. On Friday Mom and Dad came down and we went to the Husker volleyball game. It was so fun to see them play live. Jack skipped his nap that afternoon, so he slept at the game. I was a loser and didn’t take the camera, and I guess Mom was a loser too because she didn’t have hers either. After the game we went to Misty’s in Havelock for supper. It was so fun to be there because the pep-band was there. We discovered that Jack is terrified of Herbie Husker!

Saturday Morning Jack, Jess and Papa went to Frontier Harley Davidson. I think Jack is ready for a hog. I think Dad really wants one too ;)

We went downtown to Yia Yia's for pizza before the "party crowd" showed up at our house.
We had a “tail-gate”/85th Birthday Party for Nonnie at our house. Nonnie flew into Nebraska and Uncle Book and Aunt Jackie brought her. Aunt Cathy, Uncle John, and Matt came to the party too. It was a lot of fun, and a great day for a party...

and a picnic!

My friend Heather babysat Jack while we went to the football game with Mom and Dad. It was a great game! I hadn’t been to a game in a couple years so I hadn’t seen the new addition to the stadium yet. It was strange to see the tunnel walk from the opposite end of the field.
After the game, Dad rode home with Matt and John, and Mom stayed the night. Sunday Mom left for her week in Okoboji and we headed to Morril Hall. Jess had never been and I hadn’t been in years.

I thought Jack and I should stand by a prehistoric camel because Bo found a camel bone once at the lake...I don't think it is part of this skeleton, but must be in a drawer or shoe box there.
We had to leave because Jack pulled a bone out of a skeleton and it came crashing down...

NO, that didn't really happen, we left because we all wanted to take a nap.
It is a lot of work playing all weekend you know.

After our naps, we had leftover barbeque from the party (Thanks again Aunt Cathy!)
We knew that Jack loved watermelon, but didn’t know he loved it this much!

Later that week Uncle Jim and Aunt Debbie brought Nonnie back to Lincoln so Mom could take her to Red Oak before she headed back to Arizona. We had a fun lunch while she was in town.

That evening Jack and I went to Omaha for the Light the Night Walk. Jessi’s whole family plus a few friends were on our team. As a team we raised about $4,600 for blood cancer research.

My good friend Drew and her family moved to Lincoln this month too!! I’m really glad she’s here, I wish I had more time to play with her though. We did have them over for supper one night. Coy and Jack enjoyed playing together, and it was nice to have Coy in the tub to keep Jack from trying to hit his head on the spout.
We also had a visit from Casey and Trevor. Trevor and I went to hang out with Jessi at a couple tail-gate parties. Our friend Heather has a really fun spot because her boyfriend works for the athletic department. It was fun to have the game-day experience even if we couldn’t go to the game.
Jessi is really excited about this brownie at Heather's party.
Jack is really busy trying to get into everything these days. He figured out how to climb on our coffee table Sunday. Someday I know I'm not going to be able to find him, and he'll be on the roof or somewhere crazy like that.

We dressed Jack up the other night to take his picture for his Husker party…he decided to walk while we had the camera out, so we literally have his first steps on camera!

Stay tuned!
