Easter

We had a really fun and busy Easter weekend in Holdrege. We didn't have any extra time off from work/school so we were just home Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. We had a lot to do in a short amount of time. Cori was at Mom and Dad's because the big Barwick's were skiing in Colorado. (Yeah for us!!)

1. Easter Cookies
The kids did Easter cookies first thing in the morning... which means they had cookie dough for breakfast.

2. Easter egg hunt at the church.
Jack wasn't sure that he wanted to go to the Easter egg hunt, but at the last minute he decided that he would go and he had a lot of fun.

There were 500+ eggs for about 20 kids so each kid had a ton of eggs. Jack's basket even got too full that we couldn't add another egg.
Inside they had different activities for the kids. One of the activities was to have your picture taken.

3. Swim at the YMCA - no pictures there, just fun!

4. Play-date with Swanson children.
After nap-time we headed to the park to play with Drew and Jami's kids. It was a lot of fun getting to spend time with them (I know I always say that, but it's fun each time).

5. Dye Easter EggsJack's fun face.

6. Easter morning Easter egg hunt.
Cori only wanted the real eggs, and Jack only wanted the plastic eggs that were filled with treats...neither of them were very interested in the other presents.

7. Church - no pictures there either, but we did take some of us dressed up.

8. Easter dinner at Rod and Phyllis's.
Cori had a cute apron but she didn't do the dishes.

Phyllis made a bunny cake, the ears were gone first. I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't red velvet cake (like in Steel Magnolias).

9. Play outside

Jack got baseball things and a golf set from us and the Easter bunny, we tried them all out.
10. Go fish.11. Go home. We didn't catch any fish so we played at the park again and then packed up. It was a GORGEOUS day and so much fun to get to do so many outside things.

We stopped at Whiskey Creek in Kearney on our way home. Jack took one look at the peanut shells on the floor and said, "someone needs to clean up this mess!"
