Wonderful Christmas Time (FINALLY!)

Yes, it is here, Christmas break!! I have finished (successfully?) my finals. I try to make tons of time for Jack and Jess during the semester so finals are always a huge crunch for me. I felt like I did have a bit of time during the lead up to finals though. Jess still wasn't feeling well so I set up the tree this year.
Jack was really involved this year. We made popcorn garland or "popcorn garlic" as Jack calls it. We only have it on half of our tree because we have a dog who likes to eat popcorn. And yes, I did dress my child and dog in coordinating sweaters, get over it.

We used fishing line to make the garland and Jack had a lot of fun playing with the fishing poles.

I had three finals right away...or I was supposed to. I took one final on Monday and another one on Tuesday. By the time I was finished with my final on Tuesday, UNL had decided that they would be closed that afternoon due to a snow storm. I was lucky enough to have my final scheduled for Wednesday postponed due to the snow. I appreciated having an extra day to study for that exam.

Jack really enjoyed playing in the snow. As Jess had not been feeling well and I was busy studying, we bought Jack a small shovel so he could scoop the driveway. Ok, not really, we did buy him a shovel, but we all helped keep the driveway clear. He loved playing in the snow!
We also enjoyed cuddling to warm up.
Jack and Jess did a lot of painting while I was studying.
One night Jack decided that he wanted to wear his baseball cap to bed. He looked pretty cute.
And if you have seen my other end of finals posts, you know that he doesn't dress normally by the end of those two weeks. So, thankfully I am finished with finals, Jack has pants again and I'm ready to have a wonderful holiday season. Check back soon for a holiday letter.
