Fun, Fun, Fun!

We've had a lot of fun playing in the backyard this summer. Our neighbors gave Jack this bike and he loves to have us push him around on it. Papa showed him how fun it could be to ride doing "wheelies."
We spend a lot of time sitting around at the table too...apparently he watches our every move because I always put my feet up on the table when we are out there.

We (mostly Jess) built Jack a swing set. Jack was a pretty good helper too. At one point I stopped him from throwing a whole box of screws into the yard only to discover that he had already dropped the screws down the hole Jess had just dug. Luckily the hole had not been filled with concrete yet.
Jack enjoys having an extra thing to climb. Jack and I have fun on the swingset and Jess had a lot of fun building it. The weekend before school started, Jess surprised me and had reserved a hotel room in Omaha for Friday night. Jack and I had made a quick trip to Kearney to have lunch wiht Mom and to see my Kearney Floral friends. So when we got back to Lincoln, we packed up and headed to Omaha for the night. On Saturday we went to the zoo.

Bill's family joined us at the zoo, but we got there early so we went through the aquarium while we waited for them.
It is so nice to have the girls along when we go somewhere like the zoo because they are so eager to chase Jack. It is a nice break for us.
We ended our trip at the zoo with a carousel ride and some ice cream. Notice that Jack has not learned proper cone eating etiquette.

As I said in an earlier post, we go to Farmer's Market almost every Saturday we are in town...I'm not sure we've missed one when we've been in Lincoln. So I decided that I would make sure to have a couple pictures from our favorite Lincoln activity.
We almost always stop and get coffee at The Mill. The only exception is that we get lemonade on really hot mornings.
Then Jack and Jess each get a biscuit. Jack has even been asking for biscuits throughout the day at home and elsewhere.
Then Jack just hangs out while we go through the market. We usually make a couple laps because there is just so much fun stuff and people to see.

One evening before bed Jack's "Kramer hair" was really, really bad!

Did we comb it out, so it looked better (as nice parents might)? No, we took pictures of it and are now publishing them on the internet.
We have the busiest September ever, so hopefully there will be some fun pictures to blog with...if you don't hear from me till October, don't be shocked though!
