This is one year that we are definitely going to remember for the weather. Not for bad weather but for the beautiful mild winter and seemingly endless spring/summer. It was in the 80's and 90's for two weekends in March and we took full advantage of that by trying out our new camper.
Both times we camped at Branched Oak lake, expanding our excursions as we get the hang of the camper and what all we need to bring/buy to fully enjoy it.
Something that helped us thoroughly enjoy the camping were the visitors.
Rod and Phyllis came down and had lunch with us one weekend.
Jack showed them just how good he is at the monkey bars. He could go back and forth all day if we let him.
Sam has really enjoyed exploring the camper as I work on getting things situated and used to how things will go.
One of our afternoons Jack and I went fishing. He rode his scooter down to the lake from the camper and refused to take off his helmet, I think it must have scared the fish because we didn't catch any.
We also had a fun evening visit from Steph, Scott, and Cori!!
Sam really loved the breakfast of "camper cakes" and scrambled eggs.
I had originally said I wanted to get the boys pictures at every campsite we stay at...
... getting a good picture of both of them by the sign is proving to be harder than I originally thought.
