Waiting for Baby

We finally had some snow in January so Jack and Jess had a lot of scooping to keep them busy while we waited for the baby to come.

One afternoon after they had been outside playing we looked out in the backyard and Roxie had decided she wasn't done playing and was up on the slide.

Since Sam had not arrived by Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the boys both had the day off. They decided to go to SAC for the day.I was busy at work writing what I referred to as my "birth control brief."

The most routine thing we did while waiting for Sam was to go to The Mill, our FAVORITE coffee shop. Jack is very comfortable there as you can see.
I finished my brief on Tuesday so I fully expected the baby to come Wednesday... baby thought otherwise. I was scheduled to be induced Saturday morning so Friday night Mom and Dad came down to take care of Jack.

We had been promising Jack that he could paint my tummy... this was his last chance so he and Grammy painted my tummy.

This is the last photo of Jack as an only child, ready to drift off to dream about being a big brother.
