We went home for the Sweedish Days Weekend in Holdrege. It was an interesting ride home as Blackie has become less accepting of her seat belt, and Jack's legs are long enough that they reach the end of his car seat... an old resting spot for Blackie's face. So she made do sticking her face between the front seat and Jack's car seat among other silly positions.

On our way home that Friday, we stopped in Kearney and had Rod and Phyllis pick Jack up and take him on to Holdrege. Jess and I went out to eat at one of the many places we have been craving with our friend Trevor. We took a tour of the storm damage, and went to look at his classic truck he is refinishing for Cruise Night in Kearney. It's coming along compared to when we left Kearney...kinda.

Jess' cousin Scott and his sons were in Holdrege visiting, so Rod and Phyllis took Jack over to meet his cousins. Mark and Will were entertained watching Jack chase poor little Sunny, Melba's dog.

Jack had a new high chair at Grandma and Grandpa's house, so he tried that out too!

Bill had his 20th class reunion that weekend so they were home too. Bill and Dad ran in the Silver Run race. Christie and Laura walked with Angie in the walking division. Dad won, and set the record for his age group in the 2 mile run division. Bill won for his age group in the 10 k race (that's 6.2 miles!!!). Steph and Cori were home too and they brought Natalie, Caitie, and Zach to watch the race from the Osborn's driveway. So we sat in lawn chairs as the runners came by their house.

After the race, Jack went to his first parade. We sat at Uncle Jim and Aunt Melba's house along the parade route. Melba and Phyllis then went on the Junk Jaunt garage sale route.

Jack really enjoyed the parade.

That afternoon the Bonars plus Jeff, Molly, and Maddie came over to have fun with us. Steph had a neat craft planned where the girls designed their own t-shirts. It was a great day and so fun to play with the girls. We had a mysterious game of clue after the craft. It was so much fun to see Jeff and the girls!!!

Saturday night, Jess and I went to my five-year class reunion. It was kinda dorky but fun to go out with my friends. We were at Cheex for the reunion and the Sweedish Days street dance was going on outside/inside so there were lots of other people around too.

Vickie came down and hung out with us for a while too.

It was nice to have the four of us together again... and we managed to stay out of trouble.
