Let's B.O.L.T.!!

In the middle of August, we had a really speical weekend.  Grammy and Papa came to stay and we were able to go to Farmer's Market with them. 

As usual, we got coffee, a sausage biscuit, played on the trian, got a snow cone and picked up a loaf of bread.

After market, we headed out to Branched Oak Lake where Jess was competng in the Branched Oak Lake Triathlon (B.O.L.T.). 

We got there just in time to see Jess come in from the bike portion. 

It was a great cooler morning with a light breeze, so it was perfect for hanging out while Jess did the run portion of the race. 

I was so glad to have Mom and Dad there to help me with the kiddos. 

After lunch we went and hung out at Mahoney State Park with Bill's family.

When we got there the big girls were at the art center.  Jack, Jess, Bill and I rode bikes to meet the girls.  Jack loved getting to ride Bill's "two-bike" (tandem).  Jack then refused to take off the bike helmet for the remainder of our stay. 

We had a really fun afternoon capped off with a bonfire before we left to come home. 

On Sunday we made the most delicious veggie pizzas!!

(Don't tell anyone, but Jess requested tomatoes on his pizza.)
