We also when to the cabin for Memorial Day!
Jack enjoyed being a him-in-the-box.
We had our first cabin s'mores of the year.
The kids had a great time hanging out in the hammock. In June, Cori had an unfortunate thorn-in-foot incident which resulted in a trip to the emergency room and eventually a small surgery :(
The kids had the BEST time on the jet ski. They did not care that it never hit the water.
Sam loved the cabin too (phew!)
Papa bought a fish fryer so Jack helped put it together.
AND, we went for morning walks with Papa!
Jack had never seen a water pump before, so he and Papa checked it out. I love having Jack do things with Dad that I remember doing so often as a kid.
(morning walks included). We did make the mistake of walking with the morning mist at the outset of our walk and having to face it coming back. Not a crisis though. 
We also had one other SUPER SURPRISE while we were home in May. My best friend Jessi's family was having a retirement party for her aunt while we were home. I had already decided that we'd go so I could see the family and so Jack could play with the little boys.
Jack was thrilled to eat cake!
Now here's the surprise part. Jessi was able to ride with another aunt from Colorado and surprise her mom. She didn't know I was going to be home, and I didn't know that she was going to be home; SURPRISE! It was so fun to get to spend the evening with her.
I also loved having Jack play with the Lawrence boys!!
We had a great May full of activities and two great trips west.
