Jack-tivities

Jack has been very busy this year and is doing more and more activities. Since his birthday he's been doing "Joonastics" as he pronounces it. Every Monday evening he had gymnastics at Solid Rock. I really enjoyed taking him and getting to see him improve throughout the year.
His favorite part was almost always doing the trampoline.

He's a ton of fun to watch and I look forward to having him start up again in the fall, but I'm glad to have a break for the summer.

As I mentioned before, Jess is already back in the racing circuit. He ran the Lincoln Half Marathon on May 1.
I don't have a great picture of Jess running by because I was trying to video and take pictures at the same time all while helping Jack cheer Jess on. (I haven't asked, but it appears that Phyllis will not have a great picture of Jess either as she is facing the wrong way, but the next picture below indicates why she might not be looking in the right direction).

Once we saw him run by, I raced to the finish line in time to see him finish this year...he's one of those tiny people in the picture below. He finished with style; hands raised above his head.
Sam helped keep him company while he stretched and rested at home. Jack has also done one session of swim lessons.
He's really good and learning things fast. He also LOVES going so that makes Jess happy because he wants Jack to do swim team when he is older because he enjoyed it so much as a kid.
He was in a group of three little boys and was by far the most interested in the water of the three. We can't wait to start another session of swim lessons.
I'm learning what it feels like to be a "soccer mom" and shuttling Jack from event to event. Luckily, the daycare also provides additional opportunities for Jack too. I didn't enroll him in dance last year but he's begging to do it, so I'm sure I will.

I did enroll him in yoga at the daycare, and I think he likes it too. Liz really likes it because he comes back calm and remains that way for most of the day. Calm is not a typical setting for Jack, so I'm all for it.
