Lake Vacation

We took a long weekend and spent it at the cabin. I had finished my class and Jess was able to take a couple days off. It was really fun to be at the cabin by ourselves. We went up to the cabin Friday afternoon. Saturday Rod came up for lunch. We took him on a tour of some of the lake he had never seen before. Jack thought this was boring (actually it was just during nap-time).
That afternoon we tried out a new beach. The water was still pretty high, so we ventured to an area we'd never been to before. It actually was a great spot with the water as high as it was. Jack loved playing with his sand toys and played a lot on the jet-ski too.

He was not afraid of exploring the beach a little.

Jack had just finished his swimming lessons that week so he was pretty brave about the water as long as he could see the bottom.
Jack liked riding around on the Hummer toy. It is not a riding toy, but he didn't care.

Jess loved driving the pontoon boat. I didn't drive it once the whole weekend because he always wanted to...I'm not sure he even offered to let me drive it.
Jack really liked riding on the boat too.
Jess caught a lot of fish that weekend too. There were lots of sunfish in the bay so he was able to snag one of those. Mom and Dad came up on Sunday and Dad, Jess, and I really got into the frenzy action around the island. Jess had really good luck and was catching a fish about every cast for a while.

We had fun swimming Sunday afternoon at the dock too. Jack looked really cute in my old turtle...
