Why I don't have time to blog!

I wish they were the only reason I didn't have time to blog.

As my friend Heather pointed out, "I can tell Abby has been very busy because the blog hasn't been updated in forever". This was said during a study session with my friends. Yes, I have been quite busy studying for finals these days.

Jack had a modeling gig one night so Grammy could have a
few more pictures of him in his Easter outfit.

Jess and Jack are really getting to bond because my finals begin Monday, and I'm kinda freakin' out! (This is why I'm blogging in the middle of the night, can't sleep, but can't study anymore.) So, here's what we've been up to...

Jess and Jack making me jealous because they get to spend
so much fun time together while I study.

We've been to Omaha to see Jessi, we went to another baseball game, and we went on a picnic. At our picnic, we brought KFC (there is no better picnic food as far as I'm concerned) and they didn't give us any sporks, so Jess and I used the baby spoons in the diaper bag. Jack learned to swing and was a big fan of it.
I promise, he was really much more enthusiastic
about the swing than this picture indicates.

I also had a great break from law school last week. Todd from Kearney Floral called and said he needed help in Lincoln. It was only an hours worth of work, but I was able to get as much gossip as the boss knows and it kinda felt like the good old days before my life was consumed with school. One other perk was that Todd gave me the extra orchids from their display, so we have had a beautiful collection of flowers to enjoy! It was one of the highlights of the month to get to help out.

My bounty from helping Todd.

He's been very busy sitting up while playing and pushing up on all fours, he has not learned how to coordinate any further movement, and I'm letting out a huge sigh of relief at the moment. If he can just wait two more weeks to become mobile, I'd really appreciate it. We are once again seriously wondering if teeth might be on the horizon... but we'll believe it when we see it.

Jack insists that this is how you play with blocks...and everything else.

Jack has mastered all flavors of veggies, and Jess is learning how to feed Jack with less mess. Jack is also toying around with a sippy cup, there's just one catch, he has no desire to hold a cup or bottle once it is in his mouth. He's pretty smart, he says, "I think you can just keep doing all the work." Jack is also resuming his law education as we listen to review tapes on our way to school. He is most comfortable with the subjects he went to for those 7 weeks he attended law school with me. What a kid!

It was too hard for Jack to decide what toy to play with, so he thought he'd just sleep on it and decide when he woke up. So, thank you Grammy for the lazy boy high chair.

Wish me luck, pray that I don't flunk out... Seriously!!

Finally a new blog! The sad thing is that I have also been studying too much and have not had time to check until today. I am glad to be done with finals and look forward to many more blogs this summer. I expect a Jack is crawling blog any day now!
