So I'm a little behind, but if I get caught up on pre-graduation fun, I can do graduation fun, and then I can blog about Memorial Day. By 4th of July I might be on track again.

We were busy in April getting ready to garden. Jack helped me fill all of my pots, he has since helped empty them into each other, but they were ready well in advance of weather for planting.

We have also had fun playing with James. He really likes to wear headbands, much to the dislike of his father. I think he looks like a pretty little boy though.

We took Jack to his first Husker Football experience, the spring game. He was excited to be downtown.

The game was really all about the food for him though.

He shared a Runza with Daddy and then looked around at all the food that kids were eating. We told him that we might get popcorn if we went to the baseball game, so when I asked him what he'd like to watch on the big tv if he could watch anything, his answer was "baseball."

I really enjoyed taking him and seeing what he thought of the whole experience. Overall I think he liked it. He was not a fan of the "drug free pledge" though and covered his ears. I do not think this was a content based snubbing, but was a reflection of the volume level (I hope).

Jess and Jack prepared the small area by the little shed so it can be our garden.

I also spent a couple days in Humboldt after my last law school class for my college roommate Mallory's wedding. One of the tasks I was entrusted with was blowing up about a million balloons.

I had a lot of fun with Mallory's high school best friend Renee too. She used to come visit at Kearney, so it was fun to get to hang out again. She is to Mallory as Jessi is to me.

I was Mallory's personal attendant and I knew that the bridesmaids were wearing black so I decided to take my black-plaid dress...not knowing that the flower girls were wearing black-plaid. Yes, I was dressed as a giant flower girl!! Ellie, Mallory's niece thought it was pretty awesome though.

Finally Farmer's Market opened!! We were so excited to be able to go and were pleasantly surprised at the turnout for the first week.

James enjoyed going to Market with us. We had James overnight because his Aunt Missy, had to have an emergency c-section because she had a brain hemorrhage. The baby is now home from the hospital, but Missy is still having trouble.

Jack was thrilled to go to market as he's been asking us to go since November.
Market was on Saturday, Jess and Bill ran in the Lincoln Marathon on Sunday morning. Jess ran the half and Bill ran the full (pictures of Bill to come soon, hopefully).

We were really proud of Jess that he completed the half. He was able to do so just training over his lunch hour during the week and a few long runs on the weekends.

Jack has been a really big boy lately, but sometimes he reminds me that he is two.

He was upset that I had locked something in the closet one morning so he attempted to open the closet door. I think this picture will be one to show his dates when he's older.

Really, we have just had a lot of fun finishing up law school and this semester was the most relaxed finals time I have ever had. If they could all be like this I would have stayed in law school forever.
