Jack's daycare.

Jack has been having a great time at school lately. They had a birthday party for all 5 kids with October birthdays one day last month. He had a great time and smelled really sweet when he came home (like cupcakes and frosting). He was a wild boy with all that sugar, but I can handle that if it only happens once a year. He loved cleaning everyone's plate...I guess he pays too much attention to Blackie. He ended up with a frosting mo-hawk and I'll hopefully have pictures soon.

He is eating his cake with his friend Shamar.

Jack loves playing in the kitchen at school. He talks on the phone to mom and da. He loves to sort the "ice cube" shapes on the fridge. He must be following after his Grammy's love of ice.
On Halloween, the kids went trick-or-treating around the building at the YWCA and to see a few of the parents who work downtown. Jack was the only doctor, I think all of the girls were pink leopards.

Last Friday we received sad news from the daycare. They are going to sell the YWCA building and close the day-care. It was not an easy thing to handle, but I did make the evening news. Two of our favorite teachers have already put in applications at another center that is only a mile from my work, so we are going to try and move to that daycare or to another one downtown. Jack really loves his school, friends, and teachers, so it will be a sad transition for us. One of the other moms described it as similar to losing a job, and I think that is a good description of the feeling we had last week.

Hopefully we can keep Jack with as many of the same people as he sees now, so the transition won't be so strange. We're sure everything will be fine and have until New Years Eve to find a new place to go. So I'll probably have only one more update from the YWCA.

We are having lots of fun and hopefully I can add a few pictures from the birthday party to this post.

Well, I'd really like to....

So I don't have many pictures from the last couple weeks. I'm going to regret it soon, I know. We have had a busy couple weeks and I have been swamped with school, so that explains the lack of pictures.

My birthday weekend we had a visit from my mom and dad. It was a lot of fun to get to spend time with them, and Jack was thrilled, of course. We went shopping and out to lunch and played lots.

That Tuesday we went to Omaha to get professional pictures taken. I really like the studio at Target so we made the trek there. You can access the pictures at https://www.thesmilestation.com/home.asp?AC=LTTT0785100733TAR enter ABBY OSBORN as the guest name and you can view the pictures. Jack was less than cooperative, so I was pleased with the results. He wanted to run and I can't blame him. Also, if you are at the Target on West Center Street, his picture from this summer is on display in a binder of pictures.

Last weekend Jess and Jack headed to Holdrege Friday afternoon. Jess was going home to deer hunt and I had a shopping date planned on Saturday so I sent Jack home to play. Friday night I went out to eat with Drew and Maggie...at Bisonwitches (a treat for me because it is not "Jack friendly"). Jess got his deer Saturday morning.

Saturday morning Jami picked me up when she got to town and we picked Drew and Maggie up. We shopped for another 10 hours or so, we did eat lunch and supper in between, but shopped a lot! I rode home to Holdrege with Jami. It was Cori's 2nd birthday Sunday. We had a great lunch after church to celebrate her day.

We headed back to Lincoln Sunday afternoon and tried to relax. Tuesday night we went swimming at the YMCA. We hadn't been in a while and Jack really enjoyed it. He is a lot taller than the last time we were there and he is a full time walker on land, so it was interesting to see him in the water. He is not as graceful in the pool, but he didn't mind dunkng himself a couple times.

We have been very busy, but are looking forward to some time off at Thanksgiving, and really looking forward to the end of the semester.

I'll post pictures as soon as I have some from the grandmas.
